Do they make an instruction manual for that?
A couple of days ago, I left off with an introduction to my site, as well as a gaggle of questions for you, the reader, to think about. Since then, I have dropped a few pictures off so that you know what I look like, and what my family looks like. You have to know that I will be sharing lots and lots of photos of my family in the future!
One of the very first questions that I asked was this one: Do you worry about money? Of course you do! Everyone worries about money! After all, doesn’t money make the world go ‘round and isn’t it the root of all evil? No, and no. Money is not the end all to end all. Having tons of it doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to be happy; and having little doesn’t mean you are necessarily going to be unhappy. This I tell you despite what all the media throws in your face day in and day out!
How many of you have tons of instruction manuals lying around your house for all of your many gadgets that you own? Did you raise your hand? Good, now you can put your hand back down. Now, how many of you own instruction manuals for how to raise your kids, OR how to get that great job, OR how to get along with your spouse, OR better yet, how to get along with your in-laws??? I don’t think I see quite so many hands raised, do I? Sure, you can go to the store or to the library and pick up a book or two in the self-help section on these issues, and you can even read magazine articles on these touchy subjects, but do they really help you? Do they hit on the sensitive areas?
OK, ok, I know, right about now, you are asking me, where are going with this and what in the world does it have to do with money and saving it and earning it and what about that money pile you referred to? Well, I am a getting to that! Patience. Those instruction manuals for those really tough subjects? Those are things that you were never taught in your required reading in school (kindergarten through grade 12), nor are they easy to pick up in about 5 minutes like those gadget manuals (really?? some of those gadgets manuals should require a degree in rocket science). The same thing can definitely be said about money. Oh sure, you were taught some things in school, but not ENOUGH. How many of you graduated high school and properly knew how to balance a check book, or how to draw up a budget, or how to create an emergency savings plan for your family? These are the kinds of things that are not taught in school that are essential tools for all folks who want to Save Money to Earn Money.
If you want to build up a Money Pile (this is what I call a nest egg, or an emergency savings plan, or a rainy day fund, or basically – this is whatever YOU what to call YOUR stockpile of cash that YOU have created by saving your hard-earned money so that you can then concentrate on taking that saved money into working FOR you), then I have several ways that I will be sharing with you in the coming days, weeks and months to show you just how you can do that. I have numerous tips that range from the very simple – like keeping your cars inflated, to the more complex – like preparing your will – that will help you Save Money to Earn Money. This will build up Your Money Pile.
Looking forward to seeing you again
Andrea
“Money is one of the most important subjects of your entire life. Some of life’s greatest enjoyments and most of life’s greatest disappointments stem from your decisions about money. Whether you experience great peace of mind or constant anxiety will depend on getting your finances under control.” -Robert G. Allen
